ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS TO PONDER

Most of this chapter consists of Zeezrom trying to make Amulek look foolish for his faith in God and the Savior. Have you ever had an experience where someone tried to make you feel silly for your own beliefs? What did you learn from the experience? Are there messages in society that invoke that same feeling? What are those messages? How do you react to them?

ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS TO PONDER

Reread verses 14-17. In verse 17, Alma teaches that "the Lord will be merciful unto all who call on his name." What can we learn from the example given of the Lord's mercy toward the Lamanites, despite their wickedness?

In verses 20-23, Alma essentially teaches the principle that  "Where much is given, much is required." What specific blessings have you been given? What might the Lord expect from you with regards to these blessings?

What can we learn from the Lord's words to Alma in verse 15? How can we apply that comforting counsel to our own lives?
