ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS TO PONDER

In verse 8, the Savior addresses the question of infant baptism by explaining that he "came into the world not to call the righteous but sinners to repentance; the whole need no physician, but they that are sick." How does this doctrine affect your attitude and behavior toward little children? What does this teach us about God's plan?

Mormon declares in verse 16, "I fear not what man can do; for perfect love casteth out all fear." How have you seen this principle in your life? How would you like to see it more in your life?

Reflecting on the message in verses 10 - 13 about how "all things which are good cometh of God; and that which is evil cometh of the devil" and how "a bitter fountain cannot bring forth good water; neither can a good fountain bring forth bitter water," how do we make sense of the righteous, good deeds of those in the world who also commit horrible crimes or act aggressively against the Church?

Of all the Christlike qualities we learn about in the scriptures, why do you think charity is "the greatest of all"? Why is charity so important?

ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS TO PONDER

Reread verse 4-5. The Church is structured in such a way that members meet often "that they might be remembered and nourished by the good word of God..." Much of that translates today into our church meetings, activities, and even home and visiting teaching. What difference has this component of the gospel made for you and your personal spiritual development?

Moroni outlines certain criteria that must be met before baptism can take place and in order for members to stay members of the Church. What are these criteria and why do you think these are important to the Lord?
