ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS TO PONDER
Most of this chapter consists of Zeezrom trying to make Amulek look foolish for his faith in God and the Savior. Have you ever had an experience where someone tried to make you feel silly for your own beliefs? What did you learn from the experience? Are there messages in society that invoke that same feeling? What are those messages? How do you react to them?
"And Amulek said unto him: Yea, if it be according to the Spirit of the Lord, which is in me; for I shall say nothing which is contrary to the Spirit of the Lord."
ReplyDeleteI love this verse. I think Amulek totally understands that God's help and his Spirit are dependent on him making choices in line with God's plan. I really have a testimony of keeping the Sabbath day holy. Sometimes the only reason I choose not to do something is I'm afraid it would offend the Spirit. I rely on the Lord's help in all areas of my life. I feel like if I did something on Sunday that wasn't appropriate it would be saying to God that I didn't need his help and that I had it handled.
