Alma Chapter 29

What does this chapter teach me about God's relationship with His children?
What does this chapter teach me about my Savior?

ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS TO PONDER

In verse three, Alma says he "ought to be content with the things which the Lord hath allotted unto me." Do you ever struggle to be content with what the Lord has allotted unto you? What kind of contentment is Alma talking about here? What benefit is there to be had in finding contentment and even profound gratitude for the  allotment we've been given by God? 

Reread verses 4-5. What do we learn about God's dealings with mankind from these verses? What do we learn about the relationship between knowledge and agency?

  1. I love this chapter because it reminds me to be grateful for my blessings. I am so much happier when I pray morning and night because when I pray I remember all the blessings in my life rather than dwell on the broken things in my life. I think this is one of the biggest blessings of prayer - I remember what Christ has given me. I am so happy when I dwell on that!
