Reread verse 3. Have you had any personal experiences where your trust in the Lord carried you through or is now carrying you through a trial? How does trusting in the Lord help us through hard times?
Alma recounted a spiritual experience in verses 18 - 21 when his pain and guilt were swept away and he was overcome with joy. Record in your personal journal any experiences you may have had when peace from the Savior swallowed your pain. What are some things that enabled you to feel this? How can we tap into the Savior's power more frequently and fully in our lives?
